Route A - Circuit (8 hrs)

Start at the car park at NN119565, and follow the track up Glenn Leac Na Muidhe.  After passing the sheep yards, continue up the track where you will cross the hill paddocks using a stile.  Find a suitable place to cross the river and follow the fence steeply up the hill and right.  About 300m after turning right, cross the burn and go through a gate in the fence onto NT property.

The easiest route is to head up towards the bealach between Sgurr a Choise and Meall Mor and then turn west onto its flanks .  Just before you start the steep pull up onto Sgurr a Choise you will cross a steep rock wall which could present danger in mist.  You will the cross a fence and after about 20 minutes find yourself on this satisfying summit with great views over Loch Linhe, back towards Glencoe and out over the Ballachulish Horseshoe.

Descend SW along the ridge for about 1km, then turn NW down the ridges steep flanks to cross the River Laroch and pick up the well defined right of way joining Ballachulish and Duror.  Turn right on this and stroll into the village of Ballachulish.

From here it is an approximate 5km walk back to the starting point.  Use the path from Glencoe village to the NT visitor centre, ensuring you will only have a short walk along the A82

 Route B (there and back)

Starting from Ballachulish walk up the road to the school and carry on onto the right of way taking you through to Duror from Ballachulish.  This climbs up through a hill paddock and over a stile and then carries on along with Sgurr A Choise coming ever nearer.  Follow the path until you come to a cairn.

From here head left down over the River Laroch and then head steeply up onto the NE ridge of Sgurr A Choise.  Once onto the ridge it is a pleasant 1km walk to the summit.

Walkers can either return the same way, or descend SE off the summit until you reach the fence.  You can then turn left, and follow this fence around the hill and down to the River Laroch.  Crossing here can be quite tricky so take care, then climb up the heathery bank onto the right of way and return to Ballachulish
