Starting at the Glencoe Visitor Centre, walk towards Ballachulish, taking a left past the Co-op. Continue up this road past the Shinty pitch until the road bends sharply to the right and goes over a burn (the Laroch). Turn left up a single road signposted to the churches and continue on this road until it goes into the Forest. Go through a kissing gate and after about 400m there is a signposted track to the left with a map. Turn left here and follow this track up through the coniferous plantation, past some old shepherds cottage ruins, and on to a slate picnic table, From here you are at the top of the walk and have a fantastic view over the Loch and the village. From here descend on a slate path into the slate quarry.
Once in the quarry take a wander around as the intepretation boards are great |
